Quick start:

  1. Download free Mac or Windows version.
  2. Register. If you previously registered for any theyr product please use those login details.
  3. An activation email is sent to your registered email address, click to activate.
  4. Open GRIBview. Enter your user id (email address) and password under the connection button.

 

Free level:

  1. Zoom/Pan the map to your required areas
  2. Hot buttons (weather icons) download and animate 6 days if forecast data (default is GFS 1.0 degree data)
  3. Click highlighted hot buttons to replay animation or use the animation control to step through the forecast.
  4. Eye icon clears the screen
  5. "Open saved" button or click on screen to open saved files. Click on saved file to display.
  6. Click on any map point and select the meteogram option to display meteogram at that point.

 

Subscription levels:

  1. Hot buttons provide immediate download and animation of data for high res areas
  2. Buoy: click to display buoys, click on buoy to display data for that buoy. Last update time is noted.
  3. Res area: Choose the forecast area from the expanded menus.
  4. Advanced settings:
    • provides options to change the time step, forecast hours and the number of parameters.
    • Res area and display area are selected in the main UI.
    • Set and name favourites.
    • Email data for a favourite area, settings and parameters to your registered email address for a selected period
  5. Meteograms
    • Online: Click on any point on the screen to display a value table for that point.
    • Offline: Click on any point within the data you have open on screen.
    • Graph: click to expand to a full meteogram
    • Slider: use the slider in meteogram to view time specific values.
